Welcome to my Doom Place. I'm zarkyb. I like making maps for an eleven year old PC game, Doom. Below you can find a few of my maps.

Tremor Part 1: Genesis

Style: Techbase | Size: Medium | Source Port: Boom-compatible

Tremor is, physically, a medium-sized map, but there are many twists and turns through tightly packed corridors and rooms, leading to a fairly long map with lots of back-tracking. This was my first proper released map and I'm quite happy with the end result, and it seems a lot of other people are too. There's a fair bit I could improve on though, not least the repetitive, often dull gameplay. My style's come a fair bit since this first effort. Monsters come thick and fast, though there is space to take breathers occasionally. I can't really say much else about it, just check it out for yourself!

Tremor Part 2: Seeds of Destruction (IN PROGRESS)

Style: Techbase | Size: Large | Source Port: ZDoom

The second map in the Tremor series, Tremor 2 is larger and more open than the first. Continuing the techbase theme from the first, Tremor 2 is based on a research platform in the atmosphere of a gas giant. This time there'll be more puzzle solving and less mindless blasting - of course that will still play an important factor. I felt limited during the development of Tremor by the Doom engine's limits so I decided to use ZDoom for the sequel.

Erebus Revisited (IN PROGRESS)

Style: Hell Castle| Size: Level Set | Source Port: ZDoom

Erebus Revisited is an enormous level set (ala Hexen's hubs) set on Mount Erebus, a huge volcano in Hell. Let's face it, Mt. Erebus in Ultimate Doom was a bit pathetic for a bubbling, fire-throwing volcano, wasn't it? I decided to use the idea and revamp it completely. There are several different levels in Erebus Revisited: the caves, the crater, the castle and the underground. This was one of the first maps I started and it's taking me a long time to complete. Hopefully it'll be worth it in the end.

4Play (IN PROGRESS)

Style: Tech | Size: Medium | Source Port: ZDoom

4Play is designed as a 4 player cooperative level, requiring teamwork and puzzle solving on the part of all players in order to complete. It has a tech style, though it's quite different from my techbase maps Tremor and Tremor 2. I'm planning on making a single-player version of 4Play, just in case you have no friends.

Doom 2 Remix (working title) (IN PROGRESS)

Style: Mixed | Size: Megawad | Source Port: ZDoom

Doom 2 Remix is a remake of the original Doom 2 WAD, in my style with a little inspiration from the original levels.
